xMambo 4.5

Looks like they're getting closer. If xMambo is able to create fully XHTML/CSS compliant pages, it's a lot closer to becoming a very flexible publishing tool. Couple that with static file publishing as an alternative option and you've got a system that more closely matches high-end CMS packages.

I still don't see Mambo performing as strongly with workflow, notification, metadata or fulltext search... but I still have a lot to learn about the system and so far I've been really pleased.

It also appears that MOS fared quite well in a review from Linux Magazine. The review states good marks in scalability as well -- I would like to see some real benchmarks coming out of this area, but so far my PII 233 is rendering the site quite reliably. Yay for PHP thus far. :-)
